WEF's Fourth Annual Adult Spelling Bee is March 24
The Wilmington Educational Foundation is seeking teams and sponsors for this year's event.
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Educational Foundation will hold its fourth annual Adult Team Spelling Bee on Thursday, March 24 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Ave.). Doors open at 6 p.m. The event begins promptly at 7 p.m. and wraps around 9 p.m.
Teams of three or four will spell their way through the swarm rounds to reach the finals and a chance to win the coveted Golden Stinger Trophy. All spelling is done as a team, so don’t worry about embarrassing yourself!
The event’s local celebrity emcee and judges promise to keep the evening fun and entertaining. Remember to bring your own snacks/dinner and some cash for the bar.

Can’t spell well? You could still win! Take a chance at our raffle table and auction. Prizes will also be awarded to teams with the silliest team names and most interesting team outfits.
Attendance is free for observers, although donations are always appreciated.

To play, the standard team entry fee is $100. Local organizations are asked to pay $150. Local businesses are asked to pay $250. Entry fees are tax-deductible. All funds raised will benefit the Wilmington Public Schools in the form of technology, curriculum and professional development grants.
