Wilmington Church Announces New Trailblazers Hiking Ministry

Each month, Wilmington United Methodist Church will sponsor a hike that is preceded by a "nugget of inspiration and hope" and a discussion.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington United Methodist Church has announced a new monthly get-together called Trailblazers Hiking Ministry.

The first hike is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at The Charles W. Ward Reservation, 65 Prospect Rd. in Andover. Going forward, the hikes are scheduled to take place on the third Sunday of each month. All ages are welcome.

"Trailblazers is a community that explores how love, forgiveness and hope can make the world a better place, and we enjoy the beauty of creation together through hiking," the church said in a statement.

According to organizers, the outings will begin with a roughly 5-minute "nugget of inspiration and hope," followed by 5 to 10 minutes of exchange and discussion.

"Then, we hit the trail and soak in the beauty of creation today and the hope for what is possible tomorrow," the church said in a statement.
