Wilmington Election 2022: 8 Candidates Make Ballot For 7 Seats

The only contested race will be the Board of Selectmen, which has three candidates up for two seats.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington will have eight candidates on the ballot in the town election, including a contested race for the Board of Selectmen.

There are seven seats on the ballot across four boards and committees in the April 23 town election. Most are uncontested, but a challenger and both incumbents are up for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.

The following candidates returned nomination papers by Friday's deadline and were certified by the town clerk's office. Incumbents are italicized.

  • School Committee — 3 seats, 3-year term

  • Wilmington Housing Authority — 1 seat, 5-year term
    • Stacie Murphy
  • Shawsheen Tech School Committee — 1 seat, 3-year term
    • Gwendilyn Hupper-Lawson

The last day to register for the election is April 1.
