Wilmington Election Update: Five Running For Seven Seats
Five candidates, including one newcomer, have taken out papers to run in the April 23 town election.

WILMINGTON, MA — With just over a month remaining to gather signatures for Wilmington's 2022 election, five candidates have taken out papers to run.
There are seven seats on the ballot across four boards and committees in the April 23 town election.
The following candidates have taken out papers. Incumbents are italicized. Those who have returned their papers are in bold.

- Board of Selectmen — 2 seats, 3-year term
- Paul Sarnowski
- Kevin Caira
- School Committee — 3 seats, 3-year term
- Jason Samaha
- Jesse Fennelly
- Wilmington Housing Authority — 1 seat, 5-year term
- Stacie Murphy
No one has taken out papers to run for the Shawsheen Tech School Committee seat currently held by Robert Peterson.
Nomination papers are available from the town clerk's office until March 4, when they are due back with 50 signatures from registered town voters.

The last day to register for the election is April 1.
