WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington does not set official or recommended trick-or-treating hours. Town officials are leaving participation up to residents.

Officials usually recommend trick-or-treating in the first couple of hours after sunset, which is at 5:39 p.m. on Halloween this year.

Anyone who doesn't want to participate should leave their outside lights off. Trick-or-treaters should only approach homes with outside lights on.
