Wilmington Police Department: Michael Wandell Promoted To Sergeant

In an announcement to Department personnel, Chief Desmond stated that, “Sergeant Wandell has served as an exemplary patrol officer, to whom other officers have often sought guidance and assistance over the years.”

In addition to his role as a Patrol Officer, Sergeant Wandell was also an integral member of the Department’s former K-9 team, as he assisted Officer Eric Palmer and K-9’s Kimo and Ridic in their training. Sergeant Wandell has also served as a field training officer for over ten years.

We wish Sergeant Wandell the best of luck in his new position within the department!
