Wilmington Snowstorm: Friday Trash Pickup Delayed

Wilmington could get over a foot of snow in the latest snowstorm beginning Thursday night.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington trash and recycling pickup will be delayed Friday due to the expected snowstorm.

As trash pickup is already delayed due to the holiday Monday, that means Thursday trash pickup will be Saturday. Friday trash pickup will begin Saturday, with any remaining collection completed Monday.

A winter storm warning has been issued for most of the state, including Wilmington. The town could get over a foot of snow, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Trash and recycling

There will be no trash and recycling pickup Friday.

"Because this is already a delayed pickup holiday week, Thursday’s collection will occur on Saturday and Friday’s collection will be started on Saturday as well," the town said. "The remaining portion of Friday’s route that cannot be picked up before the end of the day on Saturday will be collected Monday. Please make sure to have your trash out Saturday morning by 6:30am and leave it out until it is picked up. Additional information can be found at https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/trash-recycling.
