Amaral became Wilmington’s Assistant Town Manager back in 2012 when Jeff Hull took over as the town’s manager when Michael Caira retired. Amaral was Hull’s replacement. Prior to coming to Wilmington, Amaral was the Lowell Department of Planning and Development for Development Services deputy director.
The candidate selected will replace Andover’s former Town Administrator, Reginald “Buzz” Stapczynski who served in the role for more than two decades before retiring on June 30.
