Wilmington's Body Infusion Helps Train Tewksbury Softball Players
The 13 team members recently completed a six week off-season conditioning program at Body Infusion in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON, MA - It’s 9:30 Sunday morning and the temperature is -13 degrees. While most of see days like today as an opportunity to sleep in or lounge with the Sunday paper and a coffee. Body Infusion in Wilmington is rocking and rolling with activity. Music is pumping out over the sound system but it is no match for the ever encouraging voice of trainer Rose Ryan. Her client’s are today 13 young ladies from Tewksbury ranging in age from 9-13.
The girls are members of the Tewksbury Girls Softball Redmen travel teams and they recently completed a six week off season conditioning program at Body Infusion. Trainer and Co-owner Rose Ryan prepared an age appropriate combination of tabata, speed work, agility training, cardio bag, TRX, resistance training and other boot camp style drills to help prepare the girls for their upcoming season. Besides preparing the girls for the summer season where temperatures soar into the 90s and they can play up to four games in a day, healthy exercise habits are formed and instilled.

“I’m not really sure these girls have an off season. I loved training them. I have played (softball) my whole life and I wish someone gave me the chance to know exercise can be fun, build confidence and self-esteem. I also believe cross training makes better athletes," Ryan said.
This group was comprised of players from the 10U, 12U and 14U teams and they brought high energy and enthusiasm to the program and their dedication to becoming better and stronger ball payers was evident with each session.

The 12U and 14U teams open the season on May 13-15 hosting the 8th Annual Think Pink Tournament. The 10U team begins June 10-12 hosting the 10U Think Pink Tournament.
Body Infusion is open daily and located at 269 Shawsheen Ave. in Wilmington.
