The organization, according to its literature, supports families and individuals connected to the Wilmington Community who are experiencing financial, emotional or medical emergencies, or who have dealt with issues like the death of loved ones, catastrophic events — like house fires — and other life-changing incidents.

The organization's HGP program helps to provide holiday gifts for individuals and/or families/households in financial need.

According to WOW's website, to receive assistance, people must submit a completed application, photo ID and proof of Wilmington residency.

WOW will host its 12th Festival of Trees this Friday through Sunday in the Lower Hall of St. Dorothy Church.
