Wilmington's Michelle Woods Becomes Wheelock's Women's Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer
Woods has also set numerous records for individual season performances.

Last night, Wilmington’s Michelle Woods became Wheelock College’s women’s basketball’s all-time scoring leader after hitting a lay-up with 3:09 left to play in the first quarter at Daniel Webster College Wednesday night.
Woods now has 1,195 career points in just 65 games to eclipse Samantha Cummings ‘07 who had held the record since her graduation in 2007 with 1,178 points over her 88 game career, according to a press release on Wheelock’s website. Woods has already set the record for most field goals made with 430 and counting for her career and ranks second all-time with 18.4 points per game.

Woods has also set numerous records for individual season performances. She currently holds the top two spots for most points in a season with 500 in 2013-14 and 473 last year. She has the top two spots for scoring average in a season with 19.2 points per game in 2013-14, 18.2 points per game last season, and is currently third with 17.1 points per game through 13 games this season.
Woods has been honored twice this season by the New England Collegiate Conference with two Player of the Week awards. Last season she earned one NECC Player of the Week honor and in her rookie season she collected four Rookie of the Week nods on her way to being named the NECC’s Rookie of the Year.
