Monday Essentials: Winchester Public Library to Host Artist Reception

Here's a sample of what's happening in Winchester from Aug. 5-9:

1. There will be an artists reception for Brigitte Tournier, Artist of the Month for August at Winchester Public Library, from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Small and Large Meeting Rooms, according to the library website.

2. Craft Beer Cellar New England Annex will be hosting a Cisco Brewers tasting event from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, according to Craft Beer Cellar's Facebook page.

3. Seniors can play Texas Hold'em poker at 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Jenks Senior Center website.

4. Winchester Public Library will be hosting a craft program for children ages 3-plus from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Storytime Room, according to the library website.

5. Seniors will be taking a trip from the Jenks Senior Center to Foxwoods at 8 a.m. Thursday, according to the senior center website.
