A pedestrian was struck by a car in Winchester Tuesday afternoon after walking into the roadway to observe an ongoing medical emergency.Police say the pedestrian was hit just after 12 p.m. in the area of Skillings Road and Main Street.EMS crews were tending to a child in need of medical assistance at the Stop &amp; Shop on 695 Main Street. The pedestrian was hit after walking into the middle of the street to gain a glimpse of the situation, police say.Both the pedestrian and the child were taken to Winchester Hospital for treatment. The extent of each person's injuries is not known at this time.The incident remains under investigation at this time.
