Valuable Trophies Taken From Boat Club and More in Police Logs from Aug. 27 to Aug. 28

1:37 p.m., August 27: Officers responded to a report of a larceny at the Winchester Boat Club at 65 Cambridge Street. The caller reported that two valuable trophies were taken from their case and placed in the women’s room on the second floor for safe keeping during the off season. Both trophies are now missing. The caller reported that the alarms went off between October and March, but there was no sign of forced entry or anything suspicious. One trophy is worth $4350 and the other is worth $5350.  

1:57 p.m., August 27: Officers responded to a report of a vandalized electrical box in the area of Bacon Street near the railroad tracks.

2:02 p.m., August 27: Officers responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle from the day before. The owner said that he was parked at Manchester Field between 4 and 5 p.m. and that his iPad was missing. The car was unlocked and the iPad was on the front passenger seat.

3:32 p.m., August 27: Officers stopped a grey Toyota Sienna with an expired registration sticker on Cambridge Street by Calumet Street. The driver was issued a citation and the car was towed.

4:17 p.m., August 27: Officers responded to a report of an attempted break in. The owner of 18 Berkshire Road showed police the rear porch, where the officer observed pry marks on the sliding door. This investigation is ongoing.

11:00 a.m., August 28: Officers responded to a report of a vandalized car on Pond Street. Officers observed that the rear window of a 2004 Nissan Quest had been shot out with a BB gun. The owner said that they had not made any enemies. This investigation is ongoing.

5:13 p.m., August 28: Officers were sitting in their cruiser in the Wedgemere Train Depot when they saw a Lincoln Towncar and ran the plate. The registered owner had an active warrant out for their arrest. Officers arrested Philip Pinto of 11 Cottage Avenue, Nashua New Hampshire.

7:24 p.m., August 28: Officers were dispatched to 81 Middlesex Street for a report of damage to the exterior door of the house. A neighbor noticed the damage and called it in. The storm door was smashed in, but there was no blunt object or projectile in sight. This investigation is ongoing.
