Lynch Elementary School's principal Christine Kelley will step in as the high school's interim leader.

Sean Kiley’s time as principal at Winchester High School is officially over. Superintendent of Schools Judith Evans has named an interim headmaster, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

Evans’ statement read as follows:

“I am writing to let you know that Sean Kiley and the Winchester Public Schools have agreed to a separation of service from his position as principal of Winchester High School, effective August 31, 2015, so that he may attend to family concerns,” wrote Evans. “Mr. Kiley will not be returning to the district. He thanks the Winchester High School teachers, staff and building administrators as well as the students, parents, and community members who have provided support and encouragement in the past year. The district thanks Mr. Kiley for his service to students and families and wishes him well in future endeavors.”

Evans announced Kiley’s resignation back on August 12. Kiley publicly denied ever stepping down as principal.

No official reason has been released regarding Evans’ sudden decision to move on from Kiley. Kiley, who had a contract good through June of 2017, has not opened up on the matter either.
