3 Hospitalized In Woburn Route 93 Crash; 9-Mile Backup: State Police

State police said all travel lanes on Route 93 northbound in Woburn were closed during Monday's evening commute.

WOBURN, MA — Three people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash that closed Route 93 northbound in Woburn and caused nearly a 10-mile backup Monday afternoon.

State Police said at about 5 p.m. that the all four travel lanes were closed for a time near Exit 30 with traffic only getting by in the breakdown lane.

Police updated at 5:45 p.m. that three people were taken to local hospitals with injuries, and that the road had reopened, but with a 9-mile backup that was starting to ease at that time.

State Police reported at 6:45 that all lanes were open and the scene had cleared. There was no update on the condition of those injured.
