According to police reports, on Friday afternoon, Stoneham police received a be-on-the-lookout alert after a white Audi was reported stolen in Winchester.

The vehicle also was involved in an attempted carjacking in Medford, according to police.

The Medford Police said its officers pursued the suspects, but eventually lost contact with the vehicle.

The Stoneham PD said that at about 5:30 p.m., one of its officers located the vehicle near the intersection of Main Street and South Street and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. But the vehicle fled.

According to the department, the vehicle traveled north on Main Street before making a left on Pond Street and a right on Franklin Street and then crashing into a residence on Franklin Street.

The Stoneham PD said the three suspects exited the vehicle and fled. The department said that one of its officers pursued a suspect on foot, eventually taking the suspect into custody.

The subsequent search for the two suspects involved two Massachusetts State Police K-9s and the department's Air Wing.

Eventually, the two other suspects were positively identified and arrested, police said.

Stoneham police said the Franklin Street home where the car crashed only suffered minor damage and did not require a visit by the building inspector.
