Absentee Ballots for Wards 1, 7 Preliminary Election Available

The City of Woburn announced absentee ballots for eligible voters in Ward 1 and Ward 7 for the Municipal Preliminary Election are now available.

The deadline for filing an application for an absentee ballot is Monday, Aug. 24 at noon, the city said. A written application must be filed by all voters looking to vote by absentee ballot.

Ballots can be mailed to voters upon written request or a resident can vote by absentee ballot in the City Clerk’s Office.

In order to be eligible to vote via absentee ballot, a resident must be out of the city during voting hours, have a physical inability to access the polling locations or have a religious belief preventing him or her from voting on election day, the city said.
