Five Police Incidents That Had Woburn Talking

These five stories and  entries had people talking on our Facebook page and readers clicking links this week.

 

August 5—An alleged carjacking was reported Sunday night around 7:30 p.m., according to police.

 

August 3—At 10:55 a.m., a Capozzi Circle resident reported her locked car was broken into and ransacked. According to police, a pair of prescription glasses and GPS unit were taken.

 

August 6—At 4:19 p.m., a Lowell man working in Woburn reported receiving harassing emails at his place of business. According to police, the man has been receiving emails discussing his weight, sexuality and allegations of harassment. The man told police he has received at least 100 emails since June. Police attempted to contact a suspect in the incident.

August 7—At 7:19 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Prospect Street. According to police, a woman argued with her son regarding empty beer cans found in the home. The son left the area prior to officers arriving on scene, said police.

 

August 9—At 1:14 p.m., a Woburn woman reported a past assault and battery. According to police, the woman told a patrolman she was involved in an incident on Tuesday and felt that she did not get to tell her side of the story to officers. She prepared a written statement and told police that she was the primary aggressor in an argument on Main Street, but that the man she argued with grabbed her hand, causing her pain, and put her in a “choke hold.” The woman told police she was diagnosed with a fractured tendon in her index finger by doctors.
