Gas Prices Continue Decline in Massachusetts

As the summer season marches on, so has the steady decline in gas prices, according to the American Automobile Association.
The average price per gallon of regular gasoline in Massachusetts is down nearly four cents from just one week ago. The national average per gallon of regular gasoline as of July 28 is down more than a nickel per gallon compared to one week ago, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report. The current national average is $2.69.
The cheapest gas in Woburn is $2.55 at Prime Energy, located at 117 Pleasant St. and Ellis Street; Cambridge Road Auto, 293 Cambridge Road near Rehabilitation Way; and King Petroleum, 146 Main St. and Hudson Street, according to according to GasBuddy.com, a company that reports gas and diesel prices through crowd sourcing.

Massachusetts residents are paying $2.68 per gallon of regular gasoline, one cent less than the national average. Bay State residents are paying 94 cents less than the average price per gallon of regular gasoline from one year ago, the Fuel Gauge Report said. The average price in Massachusetts one year ago was $3.64, according to AAA.
