Gas Prices See Slight Drop in Massachusetts

Planning any summer roadtrips this year? There’s a droplet of good news at the pump. Gas prices are down ever so slightly in Massachusetts.

According to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report, the average price for one gallon of regular gasoline in Massachusetts in $2.75, down just more than one cent from both one week and one month ago.

Massachusetts is also below the national average of $2.77 per gallon of regular gasoline as of July 15, according to AAA.

The cheapest gas in Woburn is a cash price of $2.59 at Xpress Fuel, 505 Main St. and Harlow Court, and $2.63 at Cambridge Road Auto, 293 Cambridge Road near Rehabilitation Way, according to GasBuddy.com, a company that reports gas and diesel prices through crowd sourcing.

As of July 15, Massachusetts residents are paying exactly 95 cents less per gallon of regular gasoline as they were one year ago, AAA said. Bay State residents were paying an average of $3.70 per gallon one year ago.
