Letter to the Editor: Relay Thanks City
Relay for Life Committee is thankful for city, businesses' and residents' support.

On May 18, 2012 – the sixth annual was held at in Woburn. Hundreds of people from Woburn and its surrounding communities joined together for one cause – to fight cancer.
The Relay For Life of Woburn raised over $60,000 this year! Because of the generosity of the city and our donors, we are able to keep our expenses to a minimum. 95% of all of the money raised at the Relay For Life of Woburn will be going directly towards the American Cancer Society's programs and services, research and the Hope Lodge; contributing to the American Cancer Society's overall return rate of 79% per dollar.

Woburn’s Relay was such a powerful display of community spirit. We had over 300 participants and 29 teams coming out to celebrate survivorship during this 12-hour overnight event. Additionally, we honored over 40 survivors with a wonderful dinner reception. Most of all, the Relay renewed our hope for more cancer cures, and ultimately a cancer-free world.
We would like to thank the following supporters to our event, without them, the event would not have been such a great success:
