Clark Projected Winner In MA 5th District Congressional Race
The AP called a two-way race between Katherine Clark and challenger Caroline Colarusso in Clark's favor late Tuesday night.

WOBURN, MA — Massachusetts Fifth Congressional District Representative Katherine Clark is set to head back to Congress for another term after winning her reelection race with Stoneham's Caroline Colarusso, according to the Associated Press.
The AP called the race in Clark's favor late Tuesday night as results from across the Fifth Congressional district showed Clark ahead of Colarusso. Her lead held as of 12:20 a.m. at 75.3% - 24.7% with just over 40% of votes counted.
Clark, a Democrat, has spent roughly nine years in the House of Representatives after winning a special election in 2013 to fill a seat previously held by now Sen. Ed Markey.

Colarusso, a Republican, made her second attempt at unseating Clark this year after a previous unsuccessful campaign in 2020.
Clark is the Assistant Speaker of the House for the current Democratic majority in Congress, making her the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House. She served as a Melrose School Committee member and as a state legislator before taking her current role in Washington.

Colarusso spent time as a member of the Stoneham Board of Selectmen, among other roles in town government. She also spent close to three decades working in management roles with the U.S. Postal Service.
The Fifth Congressional District stretches from Revere and Winthrop, west to communities such as Southborough, Framingham and Sudbury.
Results available through the Associated Press early Wednesday morning showed wide margins of victory for Clark across reporting communities.
The AP hadn't reported Stoneham election data as of 12:20 a.m. Unofficial results from the Stoneham Town Clerk's office, however, showed Clark carrying Colarusso's hometown by a margin of 6,016 votes to 4,104.
