New Haven 'Apizza' Restaurant Looking At Woburn-Area Locations

Sally's Apizza, one of the original New Haven-style pizza restaurants, is looking at Woburn-area locations, Eater reported.

WOBURN, MA — Sally's Apizza, one of the most beloved New Haven, Connecticut pizzerias, is looking to open a location in the Woburn area, according to a report by Eater Boston.

The restaurant's director of marketing, Krystina Nataloni, told Eater that the company is talking to Boston area developers, particularly about locations around Woburn.

Sally's is one of the "holy trinity" of New Haven pizza places, along with Frank Pepe's, which moved into the Boston area in 2015, and Modern.

Apizza is baked in coal-fired brick ovens and in its most basic form is topped with just tomato sauce and parmesan.

Sally's is currently in the process of expanding in Connecticut, with its first location out of New Haven in the works in Stamford.
