Obituary: Francis X. Bees, Jr., Former Marine, Woburn Resident

Francis X. ”Frank” Bees, Jr., a Woburn resident and former United States Marine, died Sunday, July 12. He was 77 years old.

Bees, born in Syracuse, New York, was one of four children and a 1955 graduate of Winchester High School. Following his graduation from high school, Bees went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps.

In 1960, he and Marcia Bowman wed and ultimately had four daughters. The family lived briefly in Medford before moving to the west side of Woburn. Bees was also a grandfather to six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St. in Woburn, on Saturday, July 18 at 9:15 a.m. A funeral mass will follow in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road in Woburn, at 10 a.m.
