POLICE LOG: Apparent Home Breaking and Entering While Owners Away

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

At 11:13 a.m. police responded Carroll Road residence on a report that a neighbor’s door had been open for three days. Police checked the door and saw it had been forced open and the lock and door frame had been broken. Police did a quick search and nobody was located. Everything appeared to be in order other than the rear bedroom. Two drawers of a dresser were open.

Police spoke with a neighbor who said the homeowners were on vacation and she provided contact information to police. Police also left a note telling the homeowners to call the department when the returned home.

Other Incidents

March 27-

At 2:06 p.m. a caller from the Best Western reported vandalism to their motor vehicle. Police spoke with the owner who said he parked his vehicle at the hotel around 10 p.m. the day before and while en route to a business meeting that morning a warning light came on warning of low tire pressure. When he checked he notice the left year tires had numerous punctures in the outside wall. Cost of damage was roughly $450.

 

At 4:47 p.m. a caller reported the side mirror of their motor vehicle had been knocked off while it was parked on Main Street. A witness saw a tractor-trailer truck strike the parked vehicle.

 

March 28-

At 11:11 a.m. a man came to the station to report threats. He said that an acquaintance of his has been calling his cell phone and threatening him since Jan. 14. He said the man calls and states he will drop pending charges against him if he pays him $2,000. The victim added the man calls him a few times per week and threatens him with bodily harm along with the $2,000 request. The man also said there had been unexplained damage to his property, including his mailbox, and he believes the caller has something to do with it.
