POLICE LOG: Bottle to Blame for Accident

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

June 28 – At 9:41 a.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Alfred Street. According to police, the driver told the officer that she dropped a water bottle which got caught under her brake pedal. The woman was unable to stop for traffic, and to avoid a collision she swerved, jumped the curb and struck a tree. There were no reported injuries.

June 28 –

At 2:56 a.m., Jeannine Margaret McDonough, 47, of 18 Blueberry Hill Road, was arrested and charged with violating an abuse prevention order. According to police, dispatch received a 911 call of an unwanted party who had violated a protection order. When police arrived, the woman had fled the area on foot and was running away from the scene. Police found McDonough sitting next to a Mishawum Road fence and placed her in custody.

At 10:48 a.m., police responded to a past larceny at a Holton Street business. According to police, several water switch castings were missing from the property.

At 1:12 p.m., a Woburn man reported receiving several harassing text messages, including threats. The man told police that he is afraid that the person sending the messages has been watching his residence. Police advised the man to obtain a harassment protection order in court.

At 3:12 p.m., a Woburn man reported that someone attempted to remove his car’s catalytic converter. According to police, the man said a neighbor told him she saw someone walking around his car late one night, and looking under it. The man said he believes that person tried to remove the converter.

At 4:58 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident on Main Street at Border Street. There were no reported injuries.

At 5:21 p.m., a Woburn man reported his estranged wife used a credit card with his name on it and ran up thousands of dollars in charges. The man told police he is not responsible for the charges, but the credit card company has billed him for it. Police filed the report.

June 29 –

At 7:59 p.m., a Mishawum Road resident reported his car and his wife’s car egged overnight. There are no suspects, said police.
