POLICE LOG: Cops Called For Loud Radio Twice

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

July 9 – At 8:33 a.m., police responded to Fowle Street for a loud music complaint. According to police, officers have responded to the same house several times for similar complaints. Police spoke to a person at the home, who admitted that no one was listening to the loud music being played in the backyard. Police asked the man to shut it off, but the man only lowered it. Police returned to the home and asked that the music be shut off completely, and it was at that time. According to police, the music was turned on at 7:30 a.m. and was also on all day yesterday. There is a complaint pending in court regarding the harassment, reported police. 

At 6:21 p.m., police returned to Fowle Street for a report of a loud radio playing in the backyard, disturbing neighbors. Police reported hearing the music as the officer turned onto Fowle Street. Police asked the homeowner to turn down the radio, and he did.

July 9 –

At 7:43 a.m., a Woburn woman reported her car damaged while it was parked in a Washington Crossing lot.

At 9:37 a.m., a Woburn woman reported her wallet was lost or stolen outside the 7-11 at Four Corners earlier in the day. According to police, the woman said her wallet fell out of her backpack and she could not find it. The wallet is white vinyl with blue lettering. The woman told police that someone may have picked up the wallet and taken it. The only contents were $1.50 and change, as well as her Social Security card.

At 9:46 a.m., a Commerce Way business reported several feet of copper cables stolen from the property. According to police, the copper was part of a U.S. Army storage container at the business for testing. Approximately $15,000 in copper was taken, said police.

At 12:46 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Main Street at the Route 38 rotary. According to police, one driver rear-ended another and was issued a warning for impeded operation and failure to use care and caution when stopping a vehicle.

At 2:28 p.m., an officer responded to Campbell Street for a report of property damage. According to police, a woman’s car was damaged when her upstairs neighbor broke his window and the frame and glass fell to the ground. The man told police he suffers from anger issues and “lost it,” punching the window.

At 3:34 p.m., a Woburn man reported $4,000 in cash stolen from a bedroom drawer. According to police, the home is for sale and the realtor has shown the property, but the listing agent stayed with the prospective buyer and did not notice any suspicious activity.

At 3:42 p.m., a Woburn woman reported $800 in cash stolen from her mailbox. According to police, the woman left the money for her landlord, but he did not receive it. The woman told police that leaving the cash was a normal practice for the rent payment.

At 4:20 p.m., a Church Avenue man reported his car damaged while it was parked on the street.

At 4:37 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Main Street. According to police, one car pulled into King Gas in front of traffic and a car traveling on Main was not able to stop in time.

At 5:16 p.m., a Woburn business reported an attempted breaking and entering. Police observed pry marks on the door. No entry was gained, said police.

At 9:04 p.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance. According to police, one woman and her children were removed from the property and brought to another relative’s home for the night.

At 10:52 p.m., Kerbeen Damascuas Joseph, 40, of 28 Charles St., was arrested and charged with assault and battery. According to police, Joseph reportedly argued with the victim and caused injury.
