POLICE LOG: Couple 'Feeding Ducks' ... Pot

July 2 – At 12:59 a.m., an officer responded to a report of two people dressed in black looking into vehicles in the Kimball Court area. When police arrived, an officer found two Burlington residents at Trade Center Park by the pond benches. Police spoke to both individuals, who said they often go there at night to get out of the house. Police asked to look in the bag belonging to the couple, and the pair answered that only 'groceries to feed the ducks' were inside. Police confiscated 7 grams of marijuana and a pipe from the couple's bag. The officer informed both people that there is no trespassing at the park and told them not to return.

July 2 –
At 8:32 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Sylvan Road at Pearl Street. According to police, both cars were turning onto Sylvan when one car reversed and hit the car behind it. The driver told police that she forgot medication at home and backed-up in an attempt to return to Pearl Street. There was minor damage to both cars.
At 2:46 p.m., a Woburn woman reported her car was keyed on June 15. According to police, the woman’s insurance company decided to total the car because of the damage.
At 6:07 p.m., police responded to a medical aid call on Cleveland Avenue. One woman was transported to Winchester Hospital.
At 7:43 p.m., a Stoneham woman reported her purse was stolen from the Montvale Avenue McDonald’s bathroom. The woman told police that she left her purse in the bathroom while she was waiting for her order. Over $300 in cash, a Blackberry Curve phone and her social security card were stolen, said police.
