POLICE LOG: Expletives Scratched on Car Hood

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Aug. 7 – At 9:46 a.m., a Kimball Court woman reported someone scratched expletives on her car hood overnight. Police observed the damage.

Aug. 3 –

At 5:13 p.m., police were called to the YMCA on Lexington Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. According to police, one vehicle struck a parked car while attempting to turn around. A witness took down the registration of the vehicle. There were no reported injuries. The driver was given a warning for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, said police.   

Aug. 5 –

At 4:55 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash in a Cambridge Road parking lot. According to police, one driver was backing out of a spot when the car collided with another.

At 8:19 p.m., police were dispatched to a three-car crash at Lexington and Willow streets. According to police, one car cut in front of another to turn onto Willow, not leaving enough time for the car to stop. Police said the car hit the first car, causing it to slide into a third. The person who cut in front of the car was found at fault for an improper turn and failure to yield to the right of way. There were no reported injuries.

Aug. 6 –

At 11:53 a.m., a Woburn man reported his medication stolen.

At 12:12 p.m., a Woburn man reported a custody issue with his ex-girlfriend. According to police, the man’s six-year-old daughter had asked to stay with him the night before and he agreed. The man told police he was concerned for her well-being and wanted to discuss the situation with the state Department of Children and Families. Police spoke to the girl’s mother, who said she wanted to regain custody of the child. Both parents agreed to meet later that day to exchange custody. Woburn Police provided assistance to the man regarding contacting DCF.

At 1:39 p.m., Patrick Litchfield, 20, of 14 Colburn St. in Burlington, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. According to police, dispatch received a report of a man who had brandished a knife during an argument on Mountain Street. Police found Litchfield and a woman arguing on Mountain Street. Litchfield willingly gave police the knife and said he brandished the knife in self-defense when a man became involved in the argument. He was taken into custody without incident.  

At 4:19 p.m., a Lowell man working in Woburn reported receiving harassing emails at his place of business. According to police, the man has been receiving emails discussing his weight, sexuality and allegations of harassment. The man told police he has received at least 100 emails since June. Police attempted to contact a suspect in the incident.

Aug. 7 –

At 8:10 a.m., police responded to a two-car crash at the Route 128/38 rotary on Main Street. According to police, one car rear-ended another. There were no reported injuries.
