POLICE LOG: House Egged, Multiple Reports of Credit/ATM Card Fraud

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

March 13-

At 9:46 a.m. police responded to a Waverly Road residence on a report of vandalism. Police spoke to the resident who reported on behalf of her mother, who said the house was egged the evening before at about 10:45 p.m. There were smashed eggs on the ground and it appeared one may have stuck to the front door. Caller didn’t believe any real damage had been done.

Other Incidents

March 11-

At 10:10 p.m. a woman and her daughter came to the station to report past harassment. The daughter said her sister had been fighting with a former friend over Facebook and the former friend’s mother posted “[She] has a big sister too.” They thought this meant the sister would fight the older daughter.

March 12-

At 5:20 p.m. a woman came to the station to report her debit card had been compromised. She said that on March 2 and 3 there was fraudulent activity in the amount of $81.72. She had already cancelled the card.

March 13-

At 7:51 a.m. police responded to a Lenoard Street location on a report of damage to a motor vehicle. The caller said the passenger side window of his mini van was shattered. It was unclear how the window was damaged but it was possibly a BB because of the distance from the street and sidewalk.

At 12 p.m. a man came to the station to report a fraud. The man said he received notice from his bank that his ATM account had been compromised. It appears as though someone fraudulently withdrew $403 from his ATM from a Boston location.

At 1:18 p.m. a man came to the lobby to report a larceny. He said his bank had notified him that his bank account was compromised and approximately $39 was taken by someone in California.
