POLICE LOG: Man Arrested for Assault and Battery That Included Biting Victim

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Feb. 28-

At 10:10 p.m. police arrested Satish Rana, 50, of 6 Westgate Drive, Apartment 208, Woburn on a charge of domestic assault and battery. Arrest made after a family member reported he had struck a woman and bitten her on the leg.

Other Incident

Feb. 27-

At 6:22 p.m. police responded to Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. When they arrived they spoke with the driver of a Jeep Liberty who stated that he was struck by a driver of a Toyota Camry as it exited Buel Place. According to the victim, after the accident the male driver of the Camry yelled “Sorry, I thought I had enough room.” The reporting party said he asked for the driver’s license and insurance information and a female passenger tried to give him her license. The reporting party told police he once again asked for the male’s information but that the woman insisted she had been driving even though the reporting party said he is sure the male had been driving.

Both the man and woman got into the Camry without providing information and left the scene. The reporting party was able to provide police the vehicle's license plate number.
