At 3:11 p.m. a male came to the station to report finding dangerous materials. He said that when he was cleaning out a house on Arlington Road he found what appeared to be two World War II era hand grenades in the house. He placed them in a small cardboard box and transported them to the station. Police looked at the grenades and they appeared to be the old pineapple style grenades with pins and spoons still attached. One did have the bottom still connected.

Police moved the grenades to the middle of the field across from the station and called the State Police Bomb Squad who determined the grenades appeared not be active and removed both fuses and will dispose of them.
