POLICE LOG: Pool Damaged, Flowers Destroyed

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Featured Call of the Day:

June 24 – At 5:10 p.m., a Woburn woman reported her pool damaged and her flowers ripped up in her yard. According to police, the woman talked to a neighborhood child, but he did not do the damage. The woman said it appeared someone jumped her fence and destroyed the pool liner.

June 22 –

At 4:42 p.m., police and fire responded to a two-car accident. According to police, one car was parked when it was struck by a second car. Police reported the driver of the second vehicle had a medical episode and was trapped in the car. Access was gained and the person was transported to the hospital.

At 4:51 p.m., a Woburn woman reported an ongoing issue with her neighbor. According to police, the neighbor locked the woman’s daughter out of the residence.

At 7:57 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Torrice Drive and North Maple Street. According to police, one driver did not see the stop sign at the intersection and drove through it, striking the other car. That driver was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. There were no reported injuries.

At 10:11 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Russell Street. According to police, one driver was stopped before taking a turn on Liana Street, when it was struck from behind. The other driver was cited for failure to use care and caution.

June 23 –

At 10:29 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Montvale Avenue near the high school. According to police, one car rear-ended the other.

At 3:06 p.m., a Woburn man reported his car damaged by several scratches, possibly by a key. According to police, the man said he was in a verbal argument with a man he only knew by first name. He told police he believes that man damaged his vehicle after the argument.

At 4:18 p.m., a Woburn woman reported she was threatened over the phone earlier in the day.

At 5:04 p.m., a Rhode Island man reported his car damaged while it was parked in the Woburn Racquet Club lot on Webster Avenue.

At 6:39 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Main Street and Eaton Avenue. According to police, one car collided with the other while turning onto Eaton Avenue.

At 9:27 p.m., police were called to a domestic disturbance on Kilby Street. According to police, the couple argued over drinking and stress. Police spoke to the couple about ways to help their problems.

At 11:51 p.m., police responded to a report of a domestic dispute between a mother and son on Sylvanus Wood Lane. The son left the home for the evening, said police.

June 24 –

At 2:39 a.m., police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident at the Route 93 on-ramp at Commerce Way. According to police, the driver reported she was struck by an unknown car and pushed off the road and into the median. There were no reported injuries.

At 10:06 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Commerce Way and Cabot Road. One driver said vegetation in the area caused his vision to be blocked. There were no reported injuries.

At 11:39 p.m., a Kimball Court woman reported receiving harassing phone calls.

June 25 –

At 12 a.m., police responded to a 911 hang-up call on Beach Street. According to police, a couple began arguing after one had been drinking. They both told police there would be no other problem that night and they would go to bed.

At 12:20 a.m., Massachusetts State Police received a 911 call from a Woburn woman asking for help. Woburn Police responded to the call and spoke to the woman, who said that she had a verbal argument with her boyfriend.

At 1:11 a.m., a Woburn woman reported her car window smashed out. The woman told police that nothing was taken during the break-in attempt.
