POLICE LOG: Resident Reports Jewelry Stolen from Home

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. 

Featured Call of the Day

March 1

At 7:47 p.m. police responded to a Washington Street residence on a report of a breaking and entering. The caller stated she had noticed that a gold chain with two hears and four stones, a white gold ring and a silver ring were missing. She stated she last saw the items on Valentine’s Day. No forced entry was discovered. Total value of missing items was approximately $400.

Feb. 26-

At 10:18 a.m. police responded to Anderson Station for a report of damage to a motor vehicle. The caller stated that he parked his vehicle at 11:10 in the long-term parking. When he parked he noticed the vehicle next to his was parked diagonally in its spot and he took down the license plate number. When he returned at 9:35 p.m. he noticed his passenger door had been keyed and his mirror and been moved in. There was also a note on his vehicle with vulgar language.

March 1-

At 4:09 p.m. police responded to the Best Western hotel on a report of an unwanted person. The manager explained that a former guest who has been asked not to return multiple times came in and wanted to show photos. He was asked to leave, which he did. Police advised her to take out a no trespass order.

At 7:04 p.m. a caller from Garfield Avenue reported that their vehicle was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway causing extensive damage to a door and mirror. The other vehicle fled the scene.

March 2-

At 8:06 a.m. police responded to a Bennett Street apartment for a complaint of motor vehicle damage. The caller stated that when she went out to her car that morning she noticed that her windshield was smashed.

The caller also stated that her neighbors had had a party the night before, with people going in and out and by the parked vehicles. Police spoke to the neighbor who stated he did have a party but was unaware of any damage to the vehicle. He said he would ask those who were at the party.

At 11:54 a.m. police responded to a Warren Avenue residence for a report of unwanted parties. When police arrived they found two men yelling at each other, the current resident and a former resident of the property. The former resident claimed he still had property in the residence and the current resident told him to take it up with the landlord.

According to the report the former resident pushed the current resident who responded by punching the other man multiple times with a closed fist. The former resident was transported to Winchester Hospital for his injuries.

When the landlord arrived she said the former resident had been evicted from the property and that he had no property inside. Police provided the landlord with the paperwork for a no trespass order.
