POLICE LOG: Road Rage Incident Turns Into Fight
An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

At 5:44 p.m. police responded to the Hess Station at 305 Montvale for a report of a fight. The caller stated that he was assaulted by two males that left in a Black GMC Envoy. Police pulled over the vehicle and the two men inside, a father and son, said they were involved in a fight after a road rage incident.
The caller also said the fight was over a road rage incident. He stated he accidentally threw a cigarette into the back seat of his own vehicle and when he stopped at a red light he got out to remove it. When the light turned green the two men in the GMC started yelling and when the caller pulled into the Hess station a fight broke out. Police stated they could not determine an aggressor at the time but would check surveillance tapes for possible felony charges.

The caller was transported to Winchester Hospital for injuries to his face and knees.
Other Incidents
March 13-
March 13: At 7 p.m. police issued a summons to a Woburn man after a reporting party stated he violated a restraining order.
March 14-
At 4:04 p.m. a man came to the station to report that he had received notifications from the MA Department of Revenue and the IRS concerning his tax return. He stated that he had not yet filed and it appears someone fraudulently used his information to file his taxes and have the return deposited in a bank account.
At 2:15 p.m. police responded to the corner of Wildwood Street and Hinston Road on a report of robbery. The caller stated a male, which he was able to identify after calling a friend, came up behind him and demanded his wallet and cell phone. The caller stated he gave over his wallet with $75 inside. Police attempted to contact the suspect over the phone and left a message to contact the WPD.
At 4:33 p.m. police responded to a Chestnut Street apartment for a call of assault. The caller said she was out on her porch smoking a cigarette when she heard her downstairs neighbor, who is also her fiancé’s sister, talking on the phone about mutual acquaintances. The caller said she said something that invoked her neighbor’s interest and that the woman came out on the porch, grabbed her by the neck and put her on the ground. She did not require medical attention and police advised her of her harassment protection rights.
At 5:11 p.m. a man came to the station to report identify fraud. He said when he attempted to purchase a new vehicle a credit report was pulled and it showed someone else using his Social Security Number. The Social Security Office told him to get a police report.
