POLICE LOG: Several Car Break-Ins Reported

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Featured Call of the Day:

Aug. 3 – At 2:57 p.m., a Capozzi Circle resident reported his keys were missing from a disabled car parked in front of the house. The car’s windows were left open, said police. Officers reported that there were two break-ins on Capozzi Circle and four on Main Street. Police found a bag of items on Brentwood Road that contained some of the items from the break-ins.

Aug. 3 –

At 4:28 a.m., police responded to a report of an argument inside a Webster Avenue apartment. According to police, officers spoke to the two women involved and restored peace for the night.

At 9:47 a.m., Daniel James Bradley, 33, of 111 Locust St. Apt. #53, was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant. According to police, officers were called for a report of two people acting suspiciously in a Cambridge Road building. Police reported the pair were not doing anything illegal, but officers did find an outstanding warrant for Bradley’s arrest. He was taken into custody without incident.

At 9:51 a.m., an Inwood Drive resident reported his apartment lock was damaged. According to police, there were pry marks visible with an attempted entry, but no one was able to enter the apartment.

At 10:55 a.m., a Capozzi Circle resident reported her locked car was broken into and ransacked. According to police, a pair of prescription glasses and GPS unit were taken.

At 12:13 p.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Arlington Road after a driver veered off the road and struck a sidewalk and a No Parking sign. The driver was issued a marked lanes violation, said police. There were no reported injuries.

At 12:31 p.m., police were called to a two-car accident on Wyman Street near Rose Farm Lane. According to police, one driver said she bumped her head on the side window. The other driver reported no injuries, said police.

At 1:51 p.m., a Main Street woman reported someone entered her car and rummaged through the items inside. Approximately $2 in change was stolen, said police. There were no signs of forced entry and the woman told police the car may have been unlocked.

At 6:17 p.m., a Cambridge Road woman reported ongoing harassment from her neighbor. According to the woman, the man has stared at her and “pointed in a threatening manner.”   

Aug. 4 –

At 10:10 a.m., police were called to the rear of Market Basket for a report of a two-car accident. According to police, a tractor-trailer was turning into the driveway despite a “Do Not Enter” sign when the vehicle struck a car driving on Commerce Way. There were no reported injuries.

At 2:06 p.m., a 28-year-old Woburn man was summonsed to Woburn District Court for forging an RMV document (inspection sticker), unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and not having an inspection sticker. According to police, an officer stopped the man’s car during routine traffic patrol. After looking at the inspection sticker, the officer determined it was falsified and was for a different vehicle.

At 2:29 p.m., Carlos R. Deleon, 23, of 18 Orange St. Apt. #2, was arrested and charged with operating after a license revocation and failure to signal. According to police, Deleon was taken into custody during routine traffic patrol at Main and Salem streets.

At 5:33 p.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Lynn Street. According to police, the driver had turned onto Lynn Street to change direction and inadvertently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The car accelerated into a tree, causing heavy front end damage. The driver refused medical treatment, said police.

At 5:43 p.m., police were called to Cedar Street for a report of an argument between a man and a woman. According to police, the couple argued about wine and the man allegedly was verbally abusive. Police asked the man to leave the apartment for the night, and the man said he had already packed a suitcase and would leave without incident.

At 9:42 p.m., a Cambridge Road man reported his car damaged while it was parked on New Village Road.

Aug. 5 –

At 11:42 a.m., a 24-year-old Woburn man was summonsed to Woburn District Court for operating with a suspended license. According to police, the man was seen driving on Main Street during routine traffic patrol.

At 1:02 p.m., Christopher F. Peluso, 37, of 6202 Inwood Dr., was arrested and charged with shoplifting over $100 by asportation. According to police, a Kohl’s employee reported Peluso took two pairs of sneakers without paying for them.

At 11:30 p.m., a Rag Rock Drive resident reported his car damaged while it was parked on the street.
