POLICE LOG: Tires Stolen From Cars at Target

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 3 – At 3:46 a.m., police responded to Target for a report of tires stolen from employees’ cars. According to police, three vehicles’ tires were stolen and the cars were left on the ground. There was no video camera in the area of that parking lot, reported police.

Other Incidents:

Aug. 2 –

At 1:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Sovereign Bank on Pleasant Street for a report of a couple arguing. According to police, the couple told officers they were staying in Burlington from New York City, and they were arguing verbally.

At 2:47 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism on Davis Street. According to police, a SUV or truck drove over bushes, struck a small section of a fence and knocked down a lamp. There were no witnesses, said police.

At 4:17 p.m., a Hudson woman reported her car damaged while parked in a Commerce Way parking lot.

At 5:37 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on the Route 93 on-ramp on Commerce Way. According to police, one car slowed down for traffic and was rear-ended by another. The second driver was cited for failure to use care and caution.

At 6:40 p.m., a Woburn man reported he transferred $195,000 to an acquaintance in California for a business deal in September of last year. According to police, the man never heard back from the California man. Police advised the man to send a certified letter to the acquaintance that he wanted his money back and to also pursue the matter in court.

At 8:26 p.m., an Elm Street resident reported a previous break-in to his vehicle. According to police, the car was locked and parked on the street when the suspect broke into the vehicle. Several items were missing, including an iPod, 100 CDs, two subwoofers and a GPS.

At 10:19 p.m., police responded to a dispute. According to police, a woman and teenager were fighting over broken beer bottles. Police said the teen was cooperative with police. The two people told police they would stay away from each other for the rest of the night.

Aug. 3 –

At 12:29 a.m., police were called to the area of Conn and Bryant streets for a report of a fight in the street. According to police, a group of men argued as one man was attempting to leave a house with his infant daughter. One group of people said the man was yelling and “swinging the baby” in his hands, while the man said he did not put the infant in danger.
