POLICE LOG: Trailer Takes Down Utility Wires

July 12 – At 2:06 p.m., police responded to Lowell Street after a tractor trailer unit caught several power lines, causing them to sag. According to police, several clamps and other debris fell from the utility pole, damaging a car and home in the area. NStar responded to the scene to repair the damage. There were no reported injuries.

July 11 –

At 2:13 p.m., a Wrentham man reported someone fraudulently opened a credit account under his name at TJ Maxx. According to police, after the account was opened, the suspect purchased a TJ Maxx gift card for $800. The man also told police that a similar fraudulent account and purchase was transacted in Salem, NH. Police spoke to the TJ Maxx head of security and asked to see video surveillance of the Woburn purchase for further investigation.

July 12 –

At 3:57 p.m., a Woburn woman reported several unauthorized transactions on her bank account. According to police, 23 transactions were made without the woman’s permission.

At 5:02 p.m., a resident reported three prescription medicine pills stolen from his lockbox at home while he was out. Police spoke to the other residents who said that they had no information regarding the theft.

At 5:12 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident at Wildwood and Olympia avenues. According to police, one driver believed the other was taking a turn. When the car did not turn, the driver struck it.
