The fast food chain is received a special permit from the city to open one of its New Orleans–style fried chicken restaurants.

WOBURN, MA — Over two months after they first came to the city, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has won approval for a location at 305 Mishawum Road.
Woburn City Council granted the chain a special permit Tuesday, with 13 conditions including traffic control measures and a ban on having a drive-through or outdoor seating.
The conditions also set the restaurant's operating hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
