WEATHER UPDATE: More Rain This Weekend in Woburn?

Weather forecasters are calling for sunshine today, shifting to a chance of showers and thunderstorms for the remainder of this weekend and early next week.

Friday, conditions are expected to be sunny with a high near 80 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. A slight chance of rain will develop Friday night and early Saturday morning, mainly after 5 a.m. The low temperature on Friday night is expected to be around 64 degrees, the NWS said.

Weather Forecasters are calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, with a high near 81 degrees. The chance of rain will continue into Saturday night and the low temperature should drop to around 68.

Sunday will also see a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, the NWS said. The high is expected to be 89 degrees during the day, with a low around 70 Sunday night.

• Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
• Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
• Sunday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 89. Light southwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
• Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 a.m. Patchy fog after 4 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
