Woburn Athletes Participate in Bay State Games
Several Woburnites will play in the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation tournaments.

Although many eyes will be on the 2012 Olympics in London soon, Massachusetts has its own tournament for amateur athletes.
The Bay State Games, which began 31 years ago, with the Summer Games, has evolved into winter and summer tournaments and year-round physical fitness, sportmanship development. The Massachusetts tournaments are "quality Olympic-style athletic competitions," according to the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation.

This year's Summer Games feature several Woburnites, as well as other area athletes. A complete list of Woburn residents taking part is below.
