Original story:   The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has issued a cease and desist order to a Woburn-based compounding pharmacy. PalliMed Solutions Pharmacy in Woburn was issued a partial cease and desist notice on November 27 to "halt the production of sildenafil citrate according to the DPH press release. The company has submitted a plan to correct the issue according to the DPH. Sildenafil citrate is better known by the brand name Viagra. The move came after recent unannounced inspections of the site. The meningitis outbreak at the New England Compounding Center in Framingham prompted the inspections. In addition to PalliMed Solutions Pharmacy, the DPH disciplined 10 other compounding pharmacies on Tuesday, Feb. 5 In addition to unannounced inspections, Gov. Deval Patrick has requested $1 million for to hire 30 additional inspectors. Also, Patrick has proposed new regulations to better supervise compounding centers.
