Woburn Coronavirus Positive Rate Falling: Latest State Data

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's coronavirus surge appears to be on the downslope, according to the latest state data released Thursday, although the city reported over 2,000 cases in two weeks for the first time.

The town's two-week average positive test rate fell from the prior Thursday's report, from 24.27 percent to 23.69 percent.

The two-week case count continued to rise, from 1,998 to 2,063, or 354.9 daily cases per 100,000 residents.

The latest state data also shows Woburn is 74.3 percent fully vaccinated and 36.1 percent of residents have received a booster shot. Another nine percent of residents are partially vaccinated.
