Woburn COVID-19 Positive Rate Still Falling, Back Below 5%

The city reported 97 coronavirus cases over the last two weeks, according to the latest state data.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's coronavirus case count and positive rate continue to fall rapidly, according to the latest Department of Public Health report.

The city's positive rate fell below 5 percent for the first time since the Dec. 2 report. Over the last two weeks, 3.28 percent of tests in the city came back positive, down from 5.05 percent in the prior report.

There were 97 cases over the last two weeks, or 16.7 daily cases per 100,000 residents. In last week's report, the city reported 179 cases.

As of Thursday's report, 86.1 percent of residents were at least partially vaccinated, 76.7 percent were fully vaccinated and 41.6 percent had received a booster dose.
