Woburn COVID Positive Rate Lowest Since October

The city's positive test rate fell over the last two weeks to 3.18 percent, a level not reported since October, according to state data.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's covid test positive rate over the last two weeks fell to the lowest level since late October as the omicron variant continues to recede.

The city's two-week positive rate was 3.18 percent in Thursday's town-by-town Public Health Report, the lowest since the Oct. 28report.

There were just 73 confirmed cases in the city in the last two weeks, down from 97 in the prior report. That's 12.6 average daily cases per 100,000 residents.

Statewide, confirmed case counts have fallen to their lowest level since August.

Over three-quarters, 76.9 percent, of the city's population is fully vaccinated. Eighty-six percent have gotten at least one dose and 42.1 percent have been boosted.
