The Woburn Public Library announced it will be holding its fifth annual old-fashioned ice cream social this weekend. The event will take place on Sunday, July 26, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the front lawn of the Woburn Public Library, located at 45 Pleasant St.The rain date for the event will be Sunday, Aug. 2.The afternoon will feature ice cream, lawn games, activities, music and a performance by the Boston Hoop Troop, whose appearance is sponsored by Gibson Sotheby's International Realty, according to the Woburn Public Library. The event is sponsored by the Woburn Whole Foods Market location, at 400 Cambridge Road. Admission to the event is $5 per adult and $3 per child under 12 years of age. Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
