Welcome to Meet the Librarian Monday, where each week we will highlight one of our awesome WPL librarians! This week is general assistant and Notary Public, Tracy. The library wouldn’t look half as good if it wasn’t for Tracy; she is the creative eye behind many of our displays and social media images. She is also the co-founder of the Walkabout Book Club!

Who are you and what do you do? Hi, I’m Tracy! I’m a general assistant which means you’ll usually find me at the circulation desk. I’m also the Notary Public for the library.

How long have you been working in libraries? I’ve been at the Woburn Public Library for almost 13 years.
What’s your favorite part of your job? Let me just say this… working at the library is the best job. Ever. On my first day, I went home to my family and just gushed about how lucky I was to have such an amazing job. I still feel that… most days 😉! I love helping patrons, I love designing bookmarks and displays, I love our Woburn Walkabout Book Club, I love teaching people about the Cricut… There is so much to love about this job!
What are you reading at the moment? I’m reading Strange Flowers by Donal Ryan (for my book club). I’m also reading A Game of Cones by Abby Collette, a mystery centered around and ice cream shop because I love cozy mysteries and I love food!
When not at work, what do you like to do? When I’m not working, I’m usually crafting, cooking, or walking my dog. I love spending time with my family. In the winter, we like to go skiing and in the summer we go camping. I’m a very lucky girl to have a family and a job that I love!
We are more than halfway through the WPL staff! Stay tuned to meet more of our new staff and familiar faces.
