Woburn Senior League Softball fell to the eventual tournament champions in the <a href="http://www.llbws.org/llbbws/slsbws/east.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">2015 Senior League Softball East Regional Tournament</a> yesterday. Woburn, representing Massachusetts, finished the tournament with a record of 3-2, losing their semifinal match up against Bristol Boro Little League, from Bristol, Pennsylvania. Woburn dropped its first game of the tournament to the host, Jesse Burkett Little League from Worcester, in a 5-0 shutout. Following its first loss, Woburn Little League won its next three match ups against Shaker Valley, Stafford Little League and Elmwood, scoring 35 total runs and allowing only 10, according to the Little League Baseball World Series.Woburn advanced to semi-final No. 2 on Thursday, July 30. The Woburn girls fell to Bristol Boro 10-2.Pennsylvania then defeated the host, Jesse Burkett Little League, 9-4, advancing to the 2015 Senior League Softball World Series.
