Woburn Whole Foods Market Donates $4K to Local Boys and Girls Club

The Whole Foods location donated 5 percent of the day's net sales to the organization.

Woburn’s Whole Foods Market recently donated a portion of one day’s net sales to the city’s James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn.

Four times a year, the Whole Foods Market location will donate 5 percent of a day’s net sales to a selected nonprofit organization. Whole Foods donated $4,000 to the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club on July 9.

The supermarket chain accepts applications from nonprofits looking to participate in 5 Percent Day, Whole Foods Market said. The organization reviews applications and decides which nonprofit aligns with its values.
